The dumbbell section runs from 5 lb up to 180 lb per hand. That top end matters: most gyms stop somewhere in the low three figures and leave the strongest people in the room without a next increment. Here the jump is always there, whether you are working incline presses, rows or heavy carries.
Adjustable and flat benches are spread through the section rather than clustered at one end, so you can set up a press or a row without dragging a bench across the floor or waiting for someone to finish. The rack is long enough that the common pairs are usually free even at busy hours.
If you would rather press heavy without a spotter, the machine floor is a few steps away, and the powerlifting zone has the racks and benches for barbell work. The gym is open 24 hours a day, so if you would rather train when the section is quiet, you can.
